I'm greater than x and lesser than y...

Evening. Morning. Afternoon.

So Monday's pretty much over, hooray! I know I shouldn't wish my life away, but Monday's are definitely the exception to the rule. Work wasn't too bad though. I can now flick an elastic band without looking like a complete prat.

Weekend was pretty awesome :) Saturday morning, I picked up one of my camera lenses (who would know where the other one has got to... 2-3 working days, yeah right...) and headed into the city to meet Kevin for a jaunt around the CBD. We checked out the Art Gallery of NSW, including the Archibald Prize exhibition, which featured the most annoying, monotonous man possibly on the face of the planet. There was a gigantic piano which I refrained from playing. I'm really quite impressed with my willpower sometimes.

After the gallery, we trekked to The Rocks for lunch. Yum. We went to this cafe I've been to a couple of times, nice outdoor courtyard, good food, lorikeets fighting over a packet of sugar... all fun!

Also checked out the Museum of Contemporary Art which is pretty much full of weird stuff. We missed the random exhibition that was on there but did get to much around in front of some video installations.

More walking led us to the Domain/Botanical gardens before we ditched that in favour of sugar. Lots of sugar. Belgian sugar. At the Guylian cafe (bringing my chocolate cafe total to *drumroll* three. Or four... I can't count). Yum.

Sat night was movie night with Laura and channel nine were overloading us with Julia Roberts goodness in the shape of My Best Friend's Wedding (I wonder if I can get Rupert Everett to perform I Say A Little Prayer For You at Emma and Phil's upcoming nuptials... hmm) and Erin Brockovich. I'd forgotten just how much I love Erin Brockovich: "That's all you got, lady. Two wrong feet and f*cking ugly shoes!".

Sunday was shopping. And recovery for my legs. FINALLY got another pair of jeans! And other stuff. Like a guide book for New Zealand. Very excited about going but also scared. And also, it turns out, really going to miss some of my work people :( My days just won't be the same without getting a hug from Kevin or being called one of fifty names, now including Gary, Ferry, Story, Scot and, the recently added, Merian. I'll miss post-it note drawings. And flicking elastic bands. And the Tempsters.

Oh by the way, made the mistake of taking two paracetamols last night, round about half past nine. Was still awake at midnight. They were the ridiculous ones with caffeine in them. Bad bad bad.

Off to do dishes and sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep!
Night xxx
