Firstly, massive congrats to my cousin Amanda and her husband Raymond on their new addition to the family, Ava, born 19th November.
Another week down, it's Christmas in a few days... where's the time gone?! I've been in Sydney for almost three months! :O Doesn't really feel like it to be honest! Anyway, work was okay this week... I'm getting along fine with most of the people in my team, just a couple that I can't really work out... The work is easy enough though. Working right up until Christmas Eve but we finish at 12. Busyish week ahead, after work drinks on Wednesday and then carol singing at Darling Harbour on Christmas Eve. I'm really excited about the Carol singing... how bizarre.
Weather has been nuts this week. Hot, cold, rain... no snow though. I'm going to be most upset if I miss the first White Christmas in YEARS :( But whatever, I'll be wandering around Sydney in shorts and a t-shirt on Christmas day, even if it is 'cold'. Note: today it is 'cold' and I'm wearing shorts and a t-shirt. Must be somewhere around the high teens or low twenties though. Yesterday was sweltering.
Not much else happening, just work stuff :/ Sad. But Christmas will be great... and then I'm house sitting for a few weeks which also includes the care of a cat and dog. That could be interesting... kidding, I'm sure we'll get along great!
No plans for New Years yet, playing it by ear at the moment... but you know what I'm like, I really don't like New Years that much anyway. It would be cool to see the fireworks though. I'll figure out somewhere to see them from near the mansion... I mean house, it's a house. Not a mansion.
Everything is fine with the flat bar the random drunk man I hear pretty much every Saturday night. Thankfully it was cool enough to close my windows and drown him out though.
Just started reading Down Under by Bill Bryson, I love him. And also planning ways to spend the Christmas money... plans involve a capo and at least one DVD lol. Thanks for all the Christmas cards too... we haven't bothered with Christmas decorations so it's nice to have a little bit of the festive season in the flat :)
Off to watch some of the X Factor final, probably just Joe's videos actually depending on how slow this computer is and how long it takes me to get through everything else I want to get done. Have to be home for 6:30pm because the Vicar of Dibley Christmas special is on! :D
Love you all,
Kirsty xxx
