Can't believe it's only 3 days to go until I jet off to the other side of the world! It feels as though it's been a really quick year since February when I applied for my visa and booked my flights in March. I'm feeling pretty organised so really this week has been more about saying goodbye.
I'm a pretty massive wuss (I cry watching the Save the Donkey adverts on TV and during pretty much every episode of Who Do You Think You Are... infact, I still cry when Monica proposes to Chandler in Friends...) so a few people are wondering what's going to break me. Well, it'll probably be the same as the last time I left the country: at the airport, five minutes before I go through to departures.
But I'm going to try and focus on not what I'm going to miss - my family, friends, the beach here in Fraserburgh, wearing hats and scarves, ice cream from the local ice cream shop that I still can't spell, my daft but lovable pooch, Hollyoaks :P - and instead focus on what I'm about to experience: different cultures, new people, a new way of life and whatever that throws at me.
Going to head to bed, got a long day ahead of me tomorrow and lists of stuff to do!
Kirsty xx
